Phil Handford has insisted he won't be applying for the vacant Welling job - but he hasn't ruled out a return to Park View Road.
Handford (pictured), who was Adrian Pennock's assistant at Welling, has been out of the game for more than a year as business and other commitments have taken priority.
"I haven't fallen out of love with the game," said Handford. "I won't be applying but that's not because I have the 'they know where I am attitude' - it's because it is not top of my priorities at the moment.
"I'll never say never. I'd be silly to say no and shut the door on it.
"Even if they said that they wanted me to help them out for a limited period of time then I'd talk to them - I'd talk to any football club as I'd be silly not to."
Handford admitted that he is out of touch with the game having not watched a match since the start of last season.
"I haven't watched a game at all this season," he added. "The last game I watched was at the start of last season, and was a Welling match.
"That shows how much out of touch I am, I've been wrapped up doing other things."
