DELEGATES to the Labour Party conference in Bournemouth will be greeted by Cliff, the anti-airport campaigners' flying pink protest pig.
The campaigners will be turning up at the conference in force to make sure ministers get the message about their No Airport at Cliffe protest. The 18ft inflatable pig, paid for by Medway Council, will be tethered in the car park opposite the conference centre. Wind permitting, it will be launched at 11am for about an hour. Campaigners have adopted Cliff as their protest symbol because they believe he has a better chance of getting off the ground than the proposed £16 billion Cliffe airport.
