Gillingham are set to face a make-or-break Easter weekend as they bid for a late charge at the League 2 play-offs.

Just four points separate themselves and seventh place ahead of Friday's trip to Bristol Rovers.

The Gills head west aiming to become the first team this year to win in the league at the Memorial Ground, and follow up with a home game against manager Andy Hessenthaler’s former club Dagenham on Monday.

"It's a massive weekend and if we can get two wins, then we will be right in there," said Hessenthaler, pictured.

"It will be a real test as to whether we can still get into the play-offs.

"It’s not going to be easy against two difficult sides, one who are going to probably finish mid-table in Bristol Rovers, and Dagenham, who are still pushing to be safe. Both will be tough."

After Easter just four games remain for the Gills of their regular League 2 season.

"I would take four points (this weekend) without a doubt," said Hessenthaler. "The other teams above us only have to slip-up and then all of a sudden we are all square on points. Who knows?"
