Police disrupt teenage gang fight

Violence was only prevented after more than 30 officers, including dog handlers plus a police helicopter, swooped upon The Esplanade, Rochester.
The rival gangs, who armed themselves with weapons, are from opposite sides of Medway –one from the White Road Estate, Chatham, and the other from Strood.

Inspector Mat Newton, said: “I understand that many teenagers want to be part of a group, feel popular and accepted.
