Power blackout cuts off supplies to hundreds

The lights went off for 1,672 homes this lunchtime.
The cause of the powercut, which affected the High Street area of Whitstable, is still unclear.
The majority of supplies were restored by 1.15pm and now only 500 customers are still without supplies.
EDF have apologised to customers for the inconvenience.
