Energy giant E-ON have been granted an extension to its injunction against the Camp for Climate Action.

The court order is designed to provide extra protection to certain parts of Kingsnorth power station during the week-long protest beginning on August 3.

E.ON was granted an initial injunction at the beginning of July which has now been extended.

The new application prohibits protesters from the airspace above the power station to a height of 1,500 feet and also covers the sea and jetty around the site.

Protestors from a number of organisations are planning to attack Kingsnorth from the land, sea and air on a day of mass action on August 9.

The water borne action, by a group within Camp for Climate Action calling themselves the Great Rebel Raft Regatta, will feature pirate ship rafts and rubber dingies.

Another group of protestors, called the Sky Group, have vowed to fly over and into the power station using everything from kites to remotely controlled helicopters.

Organisers of the Camp for Climate Action remain undeterred, and say they will take action to shut down Kingsnorth as planned.
