10:07, 08 May 2008
The RSPCA is appealing for information after this boxer puppy was found in a cardboard box.
Abandoned by its owners, it was found in Vowswood Park, Bromley, by a member of the public on Wednesday night.
It was suffering from a severe infection in its penis that had got so bad that the puppy, just months old, had to have it removed.
RSPCA inspector Stewart Toop, who took the dog to the vet, said it was in a lot of pain from the infection.
He said: “This poor dog was just dumped and left in agony. We would like to hear from anyone with any information on who dumped this dog.”
