Over 10,000 more people are tuning in every week to kmfm according to the latest industry RAJAR figures.
The station has recorded a record 210,000 weekly listeners who are listening for more than 1.4 million hours every week.
kmfm Breakfast with Garry and Laura lead the way with over 130,000 listeners tuning in to the duo, also a record.
Rob Wills, kmfm programme manager, said: “I know there are so many radio stations, apps and streaming services out there; so to see a record number of people tuning in to Kent’s radio station at a time where there is so much choice is incredible.
"Thank you if you have listened for years and welcome if you are new to the station”
Neil Webster, commercial director, said: “I have said it before, but it really couldn’t be a better time to work with us here at kmfm.
"Our team are creative and dedicated to providing the best radio station in Kent and help businesses grow by accessing the fantastic audiences we are able to offer.”
These results are for the period September 2018 – March 2019 at a time when kmfm broadcast competitions including Best Year Ever and £1k Question, they also gave away tickets to the Brits and aired exclusive interviews with Ellie Goulding, John Newman, David Guetta and Ed Sheeran.
kmfm is soon to be the only commercial radio station broadcasting to the whole of Kent from studios in the county following a decision to close Whitstable based Heart Kent.
