Royal Bank of Scotland has announced it will close 162 branches in England and Wales.
Bosses are expected to reveal "later" details of which sites will be affected by the move.
It will result in 792 job losses, according to a statement put out by the firm this afternoon.
It is understood customers who are affected by the change will be able to use NatWest branches for their day-to-day banking.
A spokesman for The Royal Bank of Scotland said: "The world of banking has changed a lot lately and the changes show no sign of slowing down."
The reasons given for the closures include increased use of mobile banking and fewer people visiting branches.
The following branches will close on the dates listed:
- Canterbury 21/08/18
- Dartford 29/08/18
- Folkestone 30/07/18
- Maidstone 08/08/18
- Tunbridge Wells 02/08/18
