The most popular baby names of 2014 have been revealed - with Oliver and Olivia clinching the top spot in this part of the country.
The south east is the only place in England where Amelia is not top of the girl's list.
But the region follows the national trend for boys, with more being called Oliver here than any other name.
The most popular boy's name was only different in two regions, with more favouring Jack in the north east and Muhammed taking the top spot in London.
After Amelia, the top 10 girls names in England are Olivia, Emily, Isla, Poppy, Ava, Isabella, Jessica, Lily and Sophie.
And after Oliver, the country's most popular names for boys are Jack, Harry, Jacob, Charlie, Thomas, George, Oscar, James and William.
Amelia has been in the top spot since 2011 while Oliver has been the most popular since 2013.
The list, based on babies born in 2014, was released by the Office for National Statistics today.
