A STARVING chick has been rescued from the loft of a house. Ruth Dadson, of Belgrave Road, Eccles, near Maidstone, brought the little bird to safety after hearing its cheeps for a couple of days.
Miss Dadson, 25, said: "It was stuck down a little panel in my loft. It was cheeping and I saw him but I thought the mum would come back and get him."
Miss Dadson, who works in the advertisement department at the Kent Messenger Group's head office at Larkfield, placed the chick in a box with tissues and cotton wool and called the RSPCA, who collected the bird.
She added: "The poor little thing was fine, just really hungry."
