Maidstone United's battle against relegation from Ryman League Premier Division was boosted by a heroic recovery from 3-1 down with 10-men to win 4-3 at Tooting & Mitcham in stoppage-time.

Alex Flisher gave the Stones the lead on 22 minutes but the hosts levelled five minutes later after Andy Walker (pictured) had saved his third straight penalty, only to be beaten by Jamie Byatt's rebound.

Goals either side of half-time by Jason Henry put the hosts 3-1 ahead on the hour, and Stones' Adam Burchell saw red for a second-booking moments later, but the visitors rallied with Tom Mills halving the deficit with a header from Ellis Green's free-kick 19 minutes from time.

Green looked to have secured a draw in the first minute of stoppage-time, racing down the right and lashing home, however substitute Gary Wharton snatched all three points with a fine solo goal three minutes later to take Stones off the bottom and leave them seven points from safety with five games remaining.

Folkestone Invicta are now bottom after being held 1-1 by Billericay Town at the Buzzlines Stadium.

James Everitt opened the scoring for the hosts but the promotion-chasing Essex side grabbed an equaliser before half-time.

The point left Invicta eight points from safety, though they have a game in hand over fifth-bottom Hastings.

Margate are only two places above Hastings - but have a nine point cushion - despite allowing a 2-0 half-time lead to slip to a 3-2 home defeat to Harrow Borough.

Gate debutante Dan Langiano opened the scoring inside two minutes and Tom Bradbrook made it 2-0 inside 15 minutes but the visitors replied a minutes into the second half and were level eight minutes later, with their winner arriving seven minutes from time.

Tonbridge Angels earned a 0-0 draw at fourth-placed Lowestoft to keep their play-off push on track.

Just two points separate Lowestoft from the team in ninth, though fifth-placed Angels have a game in hand which would see them go third with a win.

Cray Wanderers are seven points outside the play-off places with a game in hand after enjoying a 3-1 win over Hendon.

Leigh Bremner and a double from Laurent Hamici sealed the points to leave the Wands 11th.
