A serving Customs officer from Dover was among seven people arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.
The 50-year-old was one of five men arrested by officers from HM Revenue and Customs and the Metropolitan Police at addresses in Kent on Sunday.
He has since been released on bail.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed two other men aged 22 and 44 were arrested in Meopham, a 50-year-old man was arrested in Swanley and a fifth man, aged 55, was arrested in Sidcup.
Earlier on Sunday, a 43-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were stopped and arrested as their boat arrived at Dover harbour. The vessel contained 25kg of cannabis.
All seven people were taken to Lewisham Police Station.
The spokesman said: "The arrests were part of an operation targeting what police believe to be an organised criminal network involved in drug trafficking."
