A KENT woman who stars in the new Sheilas’ Wheels TV advert is making her debut on national television today.
Seventy-five-year-old Sheila Fielding can’t wait to see herself on the box.
The sprightly pensioner is the star of the new car insurance advert, which is to be screened four times on channels, including Channel 4, ITV2, Sky 1 and E4.
She won the right to become a real Sheila when her son saw a competition on the Internet and nominated her for fun.
The women-only car insurance company, owned by insurance giant Esure, was looking for women aged in their 20s to 70s who would like to join the original Sheilas in their big pink Sheila-mobile.
Sheila, who lives in Dargets Road, Walderslade, Chatham, said: “My son nominated me as a joke when he found a competition on their website.
“I can’t wait to see the advert. It took two days to shoot and I really did have a fabulous time and was treated like a real star.”
The advert will appear on E4 on 6.45pm, Sky 1, at 7.09pm, ITV2 at 8.30pm, and Channel 4, at 8.50pm.
Sheila will be watching her performance with her family at home.
