Shop worker hurt after shoplifter attack

A shop worker was attacked and dragged out of a store in Rainham after she allegedly tried to stop two teenagers shoplifting.
The woman, who has not been named ,is thought to have suffered a broken wrist and other injuries.
The incident happened at the One Stop store, in Station Road, Rainham, at about 10.20pm on Wednesday, January 28.
The shop worker had to be taken to hospital for treatment and has not been able to return to work.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: “Police are investigating reports of an assault which took place in Rainham.
CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained and a number of enquiries are underway.
