Six teenagers from Lordswood have been arrested and given curfews after carrying out a spate of anti-social behaviour in the area, including theft and criminal damage.
The six, who are all males aged between 14 and 18, but have not been named by police, were arrested after an operation by officers from the neighbourhood task team.
They are on strict bail conditions and must;
Remain indoors at their homes between 9pm and 6am every day.
Must not contact co-defendants directly or indirectly.
Must not contact or interfere with witnesses.
Must not enter Ealing Close, Chatham.
The arrested were made after the issue of anti-social behaviour was raised as a priority at the area’s PACT (Partners and Community Together) meeting.
Following an investigation by the officers within the community, the six were identified and arrested in connection with a variety of anti-social behaviour offences around the Kingston Crescent area.
Neighbourhood Inspector Mat Newton said: “Medway’s neighbourhood task team are a dedicated team of officers who can target areas identified by communities as having specific problems.
“This particular case has been a great example of listening to concerns and then taking positive action.
“We take anti-social behaviour extremely seriously in Medway and will be prepared to cause disruption to those who cause disruption to our residents.
“I would like to thank the residents for their support in this case.”
The six are all currently on police bail until Wednesday, May 13.
