SKIING enthusiasts are being invited to compete in any of five regional races being run by the London & South East Regional Ski Association (LSERSA) this season.
The races are open to all skiers who can negotiate a race course through poles.
There will be age group categories and a category for disabled skiers.
Venues and dates are:
Sunday, April 17: Chatham Ski Slope;
Sunday, June 12: Bromley Ski Centre;
Sunday, July 24: Aldershot;
Sunday, August 28: Brentwood Park;
Sunday, October 2: Wycombe Summit.
Skiers can come to one race or compete for an overall place in the whole series.
Registration for each event is at 8.30am and helmets must be worn by all racers.
At the Bromley race there will also be a snowboarding category.
At each event, there will be an individual slalom race, where racers attempt three timed runs through the same course, competing for a place within their age group.
This will be followed by a team dual slalom event, where skiers will be allocated into teams of near ability and race against each other.
Prebooking is recommended and further details are available on the website www.lsersa.org or by e mailing the race secretary at rod.woods@btinternet.com.
