The snowman cometh - after days of on-off predictions and light flurries Kent is starting to look like a winter wonderland.

Snow is settling across parts of the county, made easier by the Sunday traffic.

Kent Highways warned that heavy snowfalls had made the A20 at Dover slippery from Capel-le-Ferne to Dover. At just after 11am the road was said to be passable with care.

Elsewhere, later in the day, the A21 Sevenoaks By-Pass Southbound was closed due to an accident at the A225 Hildenborough and Sevenoaks Turn Off.

And in Broadstairs, some homes were said to be without power in sub-zero temperatures.

Bluewater shopping centre at Greenhithe said it would be open as usual today.
