Southeastern trains delayed for Kent commuters after leaves and ice cause 'poor' rail conditions
11:26, 20 November 2013
Kent commuters have been suffering delays on Southeastern services today - because of leaves and ice on the tracks.
Trains were delayed by up to 20 minutes at short notice across the entire network this morning because of "poor" rail conditions.
And the south-bound line between Ramsgate and Dover Priory was closed because of the weather.
The rail operator said buses werereplacing trains on the stretch, via Sandwich.
Disruption across the county's rail network was expected to continue until about midday.
A message on Twitter from Southeastern said: "The poor rail conditions are due to leaf fall and ice on the tracks."
