Southeastern trains cancelled due to leaves on the line

Commuters are facing disruption tonight with many services travelling in and out of London cancelled.

Southeastern has apologised on Twitter for the delays caused by leaves on the tracks and autumnal weather conditions.

Services to Ashford International, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate and Gillingham are all disrupted.

The Kent Messenger newspaper is calling on the Department for Transport to retain the much-valued high speed services from Maidstone West to London St Pancras.

Many services from St Pancras International have been cancelled or delayed.

Passengers are reporting serious overcrowding on services that are running out of London.
