VISITORS to a village's summer festival are in for the biggest and best yet, according to organisers.
Dozens of stalls, cream teas, belly dancers and tug of war competitions are all on offer at this year's Longfield Festival.
The free event will also include Morris Men, a brass band, a dog show and a display of vintage vehicles.
Children can jump on a range of fun inflatables, tackle a climbing wall and watch Punch and Judy shows.
Plant expert Tom Hart Dyke will be on hand to present prizes to the winners of a horticultural competition, and stomachs can be satisfied by a hog roast, bbq, ploughman's lunches and beer tent.
The fun starts at Longfield Community Park, in Fawkham Road, Longfield, at 12.30pm on Sunday, July 5, and ends at about 6.30pm.
To get involved with the festival contact Longfield and New Barn Parish Council on 01474 707290 or email tina.russell@btconnect.com. To download entry forms for the competitions visit www.longfieldandnewbarnpc.kentparishes.gov.uk
