Sun and rain expected as fun-seekers flock to coast and events across Kent

Families hoping for a varied weekend won't be disappointed... at least weather-wise.
Everything from teeming rain to bright sunshine is on the cards for the bank holiday - with loads in store to entertain the kids.
Tonight will see heavy showers, becoming more persistent towards dawn tomorrow.
Tomorrow sees more rain, some of it heavy, with maximum temperatures hitting 16C.
By Sunday the weather should be turning brighter, with sunny spells - particularly into Monday. The mercury should hit 17c by the end of the weekend.
Whatever the weather, there's plenty to entertain everyone throughout the county.
From a children's festival in Canterbury, to a wild west weekend in Groombridge Place and a look back at the Edwardian era at Hever Castle, there is lots to do in rain or sunshine.
But beach-goers should check before heading off to Thanet's coast this weekend.
A major clean-up is continuing today after sewage ended up on nine beaches in Thanet - just days after some of them were given a prestigious award for cleanliness.
