Premier Inn sale offers £29 hotel rooms for families to take cheap UK break this summer

06:00, 28 April 2021

Premier Inn is offering families the perfect excuse for a UK getaway this summer thanks to its latest promotion.

The budget-hotel chain is offering millions of its rooms for just £29 a night, with deals available during the upcoming May half term break and August school summer holidays.

The company says it has plenty of rooms 'perfect for a staycation this summer', where guests can enjoy king-size beds, double rooms large enough to sleep both adults and children and the option of adding breakfast to a booking. And for every adult ordering breakfast, two children will eat for free - enabling families to make even greater savings on the cost of a trip.

Tamara Strauss, global customer director for Premier Inn said: “We all love to get away and it’s safe to say that for many people, this year the prospect of a holiday can’t come a moment too soon, either in the UK or abroad."

Under the government's roadmap out of lockdown, hotels are set to reopen from May 17 - the same date that cafes, pubs and restaurants will also be permitted to begin serving customers inside.

But with foreign travel still in doubt as the government grapples with how it can reopen borders while controlling any surge in coronavirus cases, and UK holiday accommodation subsequently in high demand as a result, the availability of Premier Inn's cut price rooms could provide families with the means to enjoy a break and a change of scene after many months of lockdown at home.

In response to the anticipated demand for UK-based holidays this year, Disney has also unveiled plans for two, three and four night cruises around the British Isles, bookings for which open this Friday, (April 30).

But the company has come under some criticism for its Covid vaccine policy, which was announced this week ahead of ticket sales.

Premier Inn's discounted rooms are already available to book via its website, subject to availability. And an option to book flexible room rates, which enables bookings to either be cancelled or rearranged right up until the afternoon of arrival, are also available.

The room sale has £29 deals at destinations across the country both close to the coast and in city centres to suit all kinds of UK breaks and hotels in London are also included in the promotion.

Among them are bases in Greenwich, London Docklands and Kensington, all of which are a short tube ride away from the sights of the city whilst a room at Premier Inn's Tower Bridge Hotel, which is a short walk from both the Tower of London and HMS Belfast is available for £35.50 a night for a family of four in the middle of August.

Further from Kent and London there are also deals available for hotels in popular UK holiday locations including Suffolk, Norfolk, Somerset, Dorset and Yorkshire including £29 rooms in the centre of Leeds.

Whilst those looking to cross the border into Wales could stay in Cardiff city centre or within its popular waterfront development Cardiff Bay, where rooms are also up for grabs for both £29 and £30 a night for a family depending on the date you wish to arrive.
