Kent hotter than Barcelona with temperatures reaching mid 20s

Kent is enjoying a mini heatwave this weekend with temperatures hotter than Spain.
The mercury is expected to reach 25C today - three degrees higher than a rainy Barcelona.
Temperatures will be at least 6C higher than the historical monthly average of 16C for most parts of the county.
The good weather is down to a plume of hot air coming up from the Continent, in contrast to last week when an arctic air front meant temperatures plummeted to freezing.
Kent saw hail, wintry showers and even snow.
But for this weekend at least, the county can look forward to uninterrupted sun.
Met Office forecaster Emma Boorman said: "We are looking at temperatures in the mid-high twenties which will be a welcome change."
To make the most of the warm weather, here are Kent's best beaches - or you can cool off in one of the county's outdoor swimming pools.
However, we're sorry to say it's not going to last. Temperatures by the end of next week could drop to 12C, and sthe Met Office says storms are predicted for Tuesday in parts of the county, with outbreaks of rain, perhaps heavy with the risk of thunder.
