Thanet band Westcoast Soulstars to support Shalamar in London gig

Thanet-based Westcoast Soulstars have been invited back to London's Indigo 02 this Friday (October 30) after a show-stopping performance last August supporting Sister Sledge and Odyssey.
The show was so well received by the audience, promoters and directors that they have been invited back to play main support to disco legends Shalamar with Mr Moonwalker Jeffrey Daniels.
Vocalist Eli said: "This gives us an opportunity to do a full show and let London know exactly what Margate is made of -- some say our last performance topped the evening."
Adam Fennell, band manager, added: "Big stage performances are not new to the band, which is a collective of some of the best musicians in Kent and London.
"Eli's performance history is quite colourful. Performing with the Pogues as session trumpet player and in his own band in the late 80s, Aftertonite, has given him the experience and pedigree needed to pull this off.
"It was just great to see so many Thanet faces at the last show and we are hoping to see more this time round."
Return coach travel and ticket costs £37.50 and leaves from Margate at 6pm on Friday. They can be bought online at www.westcoastlive.co.uk through the calendar page or by calling 07938 090 700.
