Some make you titter while others prompt groans - April Fool's Day always throws up some eye-rolling attempts at humour.
It seems the media teams of some of Kent's most high-profile organisations have been hard at work this year trying to out-do each other.
Here are some of the best... and worst:
Kent Police's Roads Policing Unit
The team has a reputation for amusing tweets about their everyday work but this attempt at hoodwinking motorists was not fooling anyone.
Kent Police's Roads Policing Unit... again
Although, we must say, this one did illicit a chuckle.

Kent Fire and Rescue
Firefighters are heroes who risk their lives to keep us safe but clearly they do not get much training on being original. Their rabbit-themed gag came an hour after Kent Police RPU's tweet above, who quipped "imitation is the highest form of flattery".
Kent Search and Rescue
These heroes do amazing work helping the emergency services to find vulnerable missing people - and this April Fool's Day attempt shows they should stick to what they are good at.
Kent County Show
It attracts thousands of visitors each year but the Kent County Show is also the place to be for the great-and-good of Kent's farming community. Yet when organisers tweeted about holding doggy biscuit receptions as part of their new Canine Membership Package, we knew they were taking the, er, biscuit.
Brands Hatch
Being a pit worker is not a job for the faint hearted - and any measure to improve safety in motor sport is welcomed - but no-one was falling from this spoof by Brands Hatch.
RSPCA - Isle of Thanet branch
These cute little felines would have made lovely pets and many tagged friends hoping to get their hands on one. But sadly, not today...
BayPromoTeam
Mr McCarthy picked today of all days to reveal his long awaited plans for Herne Bay pier...

Ok we hold our hands up. We had not one but two April Fool's Day pranks. First of all, we reported Medway Council wanted Mexit and was trying to invoke Article 51 to gain independence. We also claimed to have heard reports Calais is still part of England after suggesting the 16th century Cateau-Cambrésis treaty had not been signed. Well done to everyone who spotted them.
Bisto
It's Bisto, so obviously we've saved the best for last (remember that advert?) Premier Foods, which owns the Bisto factory in Ashford, announced it was launching its first foray outside the food sector as it moves from the kitchen to the bathroom with its Bisto Best Beef Bath Soak. One customer said: “I’ve always loved Bisto gravy and enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath – now I can have both at once!" Yeah right.
