Three men have now been arrested and remain in police custody in connection with investigations.

Mr Alpergin was pronounced dead at the scene and The Met is leading the investigation following a number of inquiries.

Police had been called on Friday, October 14, at 1.51pm to reports Mr Alpergin and a woman in her 30s, thought to be his girlfriend, were missing from an address in Ebony Crescent, Enfield.

The woman has been located and is physically unharmed, but detectives believe the man found in Loughton is Mr Alpergin.

Friends and colleagues paid tribute to him, calling him a "bubbly friendly soul".

One friend, Sul Tan, wrote on Facebook: "R.i.P Brother. Dear friend.

"No words can describe our loss. Such a beautiful soul. For what ever reason no one has the right to take another ones life.

"You've always been there for me and so many people. Such a bubbly friendly soul who didn't deserve this. I hope everything unfolds soon and we get answers...you really didn't deserve this..we need justice..

"You are with Umut and Big S now, you will always be in our heart. R.i.P brother..."

A post-mortem examination and formal identification are due to take place, and police are providing specialist support to the woman and the family of the deceased.

Police said that the investigation is at an early stage, but one key line of inquiry is that the man and woman were taken in a vehicle against their will on the night of Thursday, October 13.

They are asking anyone who was in the Ebony Crescent area on the night of Thursday, October 13 who may have witnessed something suspicious, to contact police immediately.

DCI Kate Kieran of specialist crime, said: “I would like to first offer our most sincere condolences to the family of the man who has died. My team and I are working 24/7 to establish exactly what has happened.
