Following the incident, the car is said to have stopped and the driver, a man, and his female passenger took the injured teenager to hospital. Police are very keen to locate the pair.
The three accused appeared before Medway magistrates on Monday and were remanded in custory.
They will next appear before Maidstone Crown Court on April, 28.
They are: Frank Onakoya, 25, Oliver Charles, 22, and Jermaine Haye, 19.
A police spokesman said: "Following this incident, neighbourhood officers have been patrolling the Boundary Road area conducting house-to-house inquiries and appealing for information. They have sent letters to local
people to make them aware of the reported assault and have also been on hand to speak with residents about any concerns they may have."
