Volunteers have been digging deep at a horticultural training project for adults with learning disabilities.
Growing Concern, run by mcch - KentOnline, kmfm and KMTV's Charity of the Year - teaches attendees gardening skills, alongside how to sell plants and vegetables.
Staff from Barclays spent a day at the plot in Maidstone Road, Staplehurst recently helping to tidy up the site.
The Deputy Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Marion Ring, also made an appearance, to thank volunteers and find out more about the initiative.
Julie Fahy, who oversees the management of Growing Concern, said: "The team did an excellent job.
"The Barclays volunteers made a huge difference to the service and we’re now in a better position to start planning our growing for next year.
"They dug out the potatoes, tidied up the vegetable patches, removed fences and laid gravel.
"I know that the people who access Growing Concern really enjoyed the company of the volunteers and having different people to work with."
Jane Small, relationship support manager at Barclays' South East Corporate Team, organised the volunteering day at mcch.
She said: "Barclays has a fantastic colleague programme that encourages employees to get involved in the causes we care about.
"It’s about giving back our skills, time and energy to support our local communities – so we’re thrilled to have supported this fantastic project."
