Gunfire cracked through the streets of a Kent town on Sunday, when a civil war battle was relived.
The 360th anniversary of the Battle of Maidstone was celebrated with a full-scale re-enactment, with Royalists and Parliamentarians clashing in Gabriels Hill and Week Street, accompanied by firing cannons and rifles.
Hundreds of people lined the town's streets to watch the events.
