A weather warning has been issued for heavy rain in Kent this morning.
The county has woken up to a drenching, with up to 30mm of rain expected to fall in some places over the next few hours.
The Met Office has warned the public to be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding, which could be worsened by fallen leaves blocking drains.
A spokesman said: "Rain across the region will turn heavy at times this morning, before clearing northwards.
"An active front will bring bursts of heavy rain across the area this morning with the risk of more than 10 mm in an hour and perhaps 30 mm in a few hours in places."
The warning is in effect from 6am to 11am. Drier conditions are expected this afternoon.
