The warning is in place from 5am until 8pm tonight, with flooding expected in low lying land and roads close to the rivers.

The agency said: "Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded."

The Met Office issued warnings over Storm Barra on Sunday and the county felt the brunt of it yesterday.

Dover TAP was in operation due to delays at the port last night which caused long delays on the A20 between junction 13 of the M20 at Folkestone and the A260 at Hawkinge.

On the rails, a fallen tree near Sittingbourne led to delays for commuters.

There were also reports of several trees falling and causing diruption on the roads.
