A lorry carrying washing machines has tumbled over - spilling its load across a road in Dover this afternoon.

The incident has caused heavy tailbacks at the Limekiln Street roundabout near Townwall Street in Dover.

The rear trailer overturned at 1.05pm and is blocking lane two of the Londonbound carriageway and lane two of the coastbound carriageway.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Traffic is reported to be moving in lanes 1 but there are significant delays.
