Organisers of a planned takeover of a Kent power plant have launched a fresh public relations offensive to win over residents yet to warm to their idea.
Camp for Climate Action has written to every home in the Hoo area to tell people why they want to come to Kingsnorth power station and invite them to a meeting today to discuss the plan.
Organiser Lauren Sumner said: "The climate camp is looking forward to meeting Hoo residents at last. We're confident that when they find out just how exciting and diverse the camp is set to be, residents will get involved.
"We are also keen to let them know about the excellent organisation and contingencies we have in place so any concerns can be dispelled."
Organisers have also erected a billboard in the centre of Hoo inviting people to join the camp.
The week long camp is due to start on Sunday, August 3.
