Gale-force gusts are expected to hit parts of Kent tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning ahead of Friday, when winds are predicted to reach highs of 50mph.

The warning covers about half of the county, stretching around the coast from Sheppey to Lydd, and covering inland areas including Ashford and Canterbury.

The yellow Met Office caution means some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely, while high-sided vehicles could be affected on exposed routes and bridges.

Damage to outdoor temporary structures is also possible.

Forecastors predict the strong wind will accompanied by drab weather, with light rain covering much of the county at times during the day.

There will also be some sunny spells.
