Predictions of strong winds that could cause travel disruption have been brought forward.

Storm Gareth was initially expected to hit the county at 9pm but the Met Office has now put the warning in place from midday.

Buses and train services are likely to take longer and there could be some short term power issues.

The coastal towns should expect large waves.

The county has already been battered by the elements. Tesco has been forced to close for three days after the wind damaged the store.

And one girl was extremely lucky not to have been hurt when a tree fell on to her car.
