Thameslink Programme disrupts trains between Kent and London

19:30, 16 March 2017

Train passengers are being warned of disruption as a number of stops in London will be off limits this weekend.

Several Southeastern services will be affected tomorrow and on Sunday as a result.

It is because of work taking place as part of the multi-billion pound scheme to rebuild London Bridge to facilitate more routes out of the capital.

The rail operator says trains to and from Ramsgate/Dover via Ashford International will be diverted after Orpington via Bromley South to and from London Victoria.

Services to and from Gillingham will run to Lewisham and then be diverted to and from London Victoria.

Trains to and from Gravesend via Sidcup will be diverted to run to and from London Blackfriars.

And services to and from Hastings will run to Tonbridge and then be diverted via Red Hill to London Bridge Southern concourse.

Meanwhile, trains that normally start/terminate at Sevenoaks will not run and those that normally run between Orpington and London Victoria will be extended to Sevenoaks.

The same stations will also be affected by work on the London Bridge Thameslink Programme next weekend.

Customers travelling between Kent and London over the next two weekends are urged to check times at southeasternrailway.co.uk or nationalrail.co.uk
