Jamie Day is expected to finally take over as the new Welling manager early next week.
The Wings announced in midweek that Day (pictured) would succeed Andy Ford, but were forced to put his appointment on hold because heis under contract as a player with Dartford who wanted compensation.
But a statement on Welling's website on Saturday morning said: "Agreement has been reached between Dartford FC and ourselves regarding compensation relating to Jamie Day and the managerial vacancy at the club.
"This will pave the way for Jamie to be officially installed as manager, subject to the completion of paperwork by all parties."
