Frank Nouble is ready for a third month at Gillingham after revelling in first-team football.
The forward, pictured with Garry Richards, struck his fifth goal for the Gills in the 2-1 win at Aldershot on Saturday, in what was the last game of his current loan deal from Championship big guns West Ham.
The Gills will hope to conclude an extended deal with Nouble for a third and final month and the player has welcomed the challenge.
"I have never been on loan anywhere longer than a month and I have been here longer than I expected," admitted the 20-year-old.
"I would rather be playing under pressure than in the reserves (at West Ham). I just want my team here to get promoted.
"It’s a man’s game here and reserve team football is not the same as first- team football. At West Ham I would be coming on in the last 10 minutes and you don’t really get a run and it’s hard. I think I have learned a few basics here and that will do me well in the future.
"I am just happy that Gillingham want to keep me on for another month and I will take it from there. I want to sign and hopefully it will be sorted."
Nouble is ineligible for Tuesday's FA Cup game against Bournemouth as West Ham don’t want him cup tied.
