Gillingham begin the new season on Saturday and supporters will be hoping that by May promotion back to League 1 will have been secured.
The Gills face competition from the likes of big-spending Crawley and a rejuvenated Northampton Town – who will be led from the front by powerhouse forward Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Bookmakers are also tipping Swindon Town, managed by colourful Italian Paulo Di Canio, to do well next season while Bristol Rovers, Oxford and Shrewsbury are being backed by many for success.
