How do you fancy a high-flying opportunity to take to the skies as part of Margate’s Big Event?
The Thanet Extra and www.thanetextra.co.uk have teamed up with the district council and the sponsors of the Fathers’ Day weekend extravaganza – local firms GSE Group, Commercial Group Properties and Sky Charter – to offer four pairs of tickets for a free ride in a helicopter.
You will be able to soar in the skies over the event site at Palm Bay on either Saturday, June 14, or Sunday, June 15, alongside spectacular aircraft.

This year’s air show will include the Royal Navy Black Cat helicopters and a Typhoon jet fighter, as well as the country’s finest display teams, including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Falcons and Tigers parachute teams and the Hawk 208 Squadron.
The Imps Motorcycle Team, top equestrian team the Devil’s Horsemen and a Magic of Motown tribute concert will be among the highlights in the arena.

Closing date is midday on Thursday, June 12.
The winners will need to book their helicopter trips on the day they attend Margate’s Big Event and the trip must be taken that day on a time specified by the company. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
All the terms and conditions of the helicopter company, including health and safety regulations, must be followed.

Rules:
1 This competition is not open to employees (and immediate families) of the Kent Messenger Group or any other company associated with it.
2. Entries which are altered, illegible or not in accordance with the rules will be disqualified.
3. Responsibility can not be accepted for entries lost or damaged. Proof of posting can not be accepted as proof of delivery.
4. The decision of the judges, as appointed by the Kent Messenger Group, is final.
5. Entries must be received by noon on Thursday, June 12, and the names of the winners will be published in the Thanet Extra.
