A motorist has been airlifted to hospital following an accident on the A228 at Cuxton on Tuesday morning.
The woman who was trapped in her Land Rover and had to be freed by firefighters, is not thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
It is understood the woman’s vehicle may have crashed into a parked car, close to the White Heart pub near Sundridge Hill/Rochester Road.
The emergency services were called out to the crash scene at about 7.45am, including firefighters from Strood who used specialist cutting equipment to free the woman.
She was then taken to the Royal London Hospital by Kent Air Ambulance.
Traffic was diverted away from the area and the A228 closed at the junction with Formby Road, Cuxton.
