The world’s largest offshore wind farm in the Thames Estuary has appointed a Kent firm to manage its accounts for the next three years.
DSH Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors in Maidstone will provide tax services and accounting to London Array.
The 630MW offshore wind farm sits 20km off the north Kent coast, with operation and maintenance carried out from Ramsgate.
Its 175 turbines are capable of generating enough energy to power nearly half a million UK homes and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 900,000 tonnes a year.
DSH was awarded the tender after it attended a networking event in the town in June, hosted by Locate in Kent.
London Array’s commercial manager Dominik Adamus said: “London Array is committed to using local suppliers wherever possible and we are delighted to have found in DSH, a Kent firm with the skills and expertise that we were looking for.”
DSH partner Duncan Cochrane-Dyet said: “The team at London Array clearly demand the highest standards from themselves and look for the same from their accountants.
“When we were invited to tender, we knew it would be a tough call as we expected to be up against some strong competition.
“DSH’s values are all about looking after our clients, consequently we invest heavily in our people and in our work process management, so we were confident that we had the skills and discipline that London Array was looking for.
“We are both excited and delighted by the opportunity to work with them.”
