Young Gillingham defender Callum Davies joins Thurrock FC
11:30, 25 October 2011
Gillingham defender Callum Davies has joined Blue Square Bet South Thurrock on a month’s loan.
The centre-back goes straight into the Thurrock squad for their game against Dartford on Tuesday night.
Davies (pictured), in his first year as a professional at Gillingham, has made two senior appearances during his time at Priestfield.
His debut was memorable for the wrong reasons a year ago when he was sent off in the match against Crewe after 28 minutes.
Davies’ second appearance came recently as the Gills were beaten by Barnet in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. He was a second half substitute.
He will return to the Gills after their match on Saturday, November 19.
