MYSTERY surrounds the disappearance of a 17-year-old youth missing from his home in Chatham.

Mark Scullion, 17, was last seen in Lingfield, Surrey, in the early hours of Tuesday. It is not known why he visited the area but Medway Police are concerned for his welfare.

In Lingfield, he was in the company of a man described as being of slim build, with short brown hair, wearing a T-shirt and jeans.

The man had a strong Irish accent. Police say they do not know who he or why Mark was with him.

Mark is 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build, with hazel eyes and cropped, mousey brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black and silver striped short sleeved shirt, black Nike trousers, and white trainers with red trim.
