A goalless draw at Basingstoke was enough to lift Tonbridge Angels out of the Skrill South relegation zone on Tuesday night.
Tommy Warrilow's side climbed to 18th place, a point clear of the bottom three, but perhaps should have won the game.
That's because they played the last 25 minutes against 10 men following the dismissal of Town captain Wes Daly for a second yellow card.
Arguably the best chances of the match fell to Angels from corners in the last couple of minutes.
First, Luis Cumbers had a shot blocked on the line by Adam Green, then when Town failed to clear, Alex Teniola fired over at the far post when he really should have scored.
Earlier, Mark Lovell had a penalty appeal turned down following a challenge by Green.
