Kent Cricket have signed Australia fast-bowler Doug Bollinger as their overseas player for the 2014 season

Kent have signed Australia fast-bowler Doug Bollinger as their overseas player for the entire 2014 season.
The 32-year-old left-arm seamer - who appeared in all forms for his country between 2009 and 2011 and was an unused reserve during the recent Ashes Tour - will be eligible for the whole LV= County Championship Division 2 campaign aswell as the t20 and 50-over campaigns.
Bollinger - who has previously played for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League said; “I am very excited about the opportunity to play with Kent.
“I feel I am bowling as well as I ever have, and look forward to being able to contribute both on and off the field. I have had quite a few chats with Jimmy Adams and can’t wait to get over there and rip in.”
Kent Head Coach Adams revealed: “We are all excited and pleased to have Doug coming to Kent for the season.
“Doug is an extremely talented player who is bringing a wealth of experience, having performed successfully at all levels and across all formats. We are confident he will make a positive contribution in the season ahead.”
Bollinger has 50 Test wickets to his name at an average of under 26 in 12 appearances and took 21 wickets at an average of 25 for New South Wales in their current Sheffield Shield campaign, while he also played for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash two competition.
Weather-permitting Kent will begin their campaign on April 13 at Worcestershire, the club where he spent the 2007 season, claiming 16 Championship wickets at an average of 44.
