BRANDS Hatch has confirmed that the FIM World Sidecars will race at the circuit this summer.

The event will take place on the same weekend as the DTM - the world's fastest touring car series - on June 9 and 10.

This latest confirmation means that all of Britain's current motorsport world champions will defend their titles at the Kent track this year, including Tim and Tristan Reeves from Tenterden, who have won the World Sidecars for the past two years.

Tim said: "As we're local it means a lot to us to be there, and to be racing with the DTM is brilliant - it's a great opportunity to race in front of a big crowd."

The Brands Hatch calendar also includes the World Superbike Championship, World Touring Car Championship and A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.
