Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens has been cleared of failing to report a corrupt approach made to him during last year's BPL, according to reports from a Bangladeshi tribunal in Dhaka on Wednesday lunchtime.

According to reports emanating from Bangladeshi journalists, attributed to a statement from Dhaka Gladiators lawyer Nawroz MR Chowdhury, six men were found guilty by the anti-corruption tribunal, including international star Mohammad Ashraful - once of Kent League Blackheath - and Gladiators owner Shihab Chowdhury.

Others reportedly found guilty of charges relating to spot and match-fixing included former New Zealand opener Lou Vincent while Stevens' two charges of failing to report a corrupt approach made to him were said to be 'unproven.'

The 37-year-old flew to Bangladesh last month to contest the ICC charges, which were filed last August following the Gladiators' 2013 title-winning Bangladesh Premier League campaign.

The Spitfires' talisman had faced a global ban of one to five years if found guilty and spoke of his gratitude that he would be able to continue playing the game on Wednesday afternoon.

Stevens swept the board at the Kent Cricket end of season awards in October.

The former Leicestershire man was an overwhelming winner of the Player of the Season award - voted for by members and supporters - presented to the player who had made the greatest contribution to the club.

He also claimed The Mike Denness Cup, for batsmen of the year, after scoring 1,880 runs in all competitions. He passed Rob Key in the standings with his imperious unbeaten 205 against Lancashire which helped win their LV= County Championship Division 2 finale on the final afternoon.
