Bath City 0 Dover Athletic 2

After four successive defeats in The Skrill South, Dover Athletic got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at Bath City on Saturday.
With midfielder James Rogers returning to Whites’ line-up following his free transfer from Dartford and Tom Wynter and Terrell Forbes fit again after injury, manager Chris Kinnear was able to freshen up his team and obtained the result he badly needed. The win moved his side up to 12th.
Whites looked confident from the start and Nathan Elder and Rogers both forced Bath keeper Jason Mellor into early action before he was beaten after 24 minutes.
Mellor could only push away a corner and when Wynter knocked the ball back in, Elder’s header put Dover in front.
It was enough to give Whites a deserved 1-0 half-time lead but Bath produced more attacking threat in the second half and they almost equalised when Will Salmon’s header glanced off the bar.
However, Dover made sure of all three points with four minutes left when substitute Ricky Modeste’s cross was headed home by Tom Murphy.
